Quoting one of my favorite movies, “Letters of Juliet” are two words, “what and if.” Put them together and you have the question, what if? A question that is wise for 100% of us to be asking about everything and anything pertinent to our lives and situations.
What if there is really a God?
What if the Bible is really true?
What if this is a lie?
What if it isn’t?
What if God is able to bridge any gap?
What if I am the one that really does not understand?
What if I gave my life to Christ?
What if my fundamental thinking process is in error?
What if I misunderstood?
What if they are telling me the truth?
What if I made a mistake?
What if I owe someone an apology?
What if I have been looking at this wrong?
What if I have a common cold, and it’s not the Coronavirus?
What if there really is no reason for panic?
What if I really am not ignorant?
What if I am who God says I am?
What if I have been rude and disrespectful?
What if there is really a plan in this?
What if there really is a need for forgiveness?
What if there is a need to ask forgiveness?
What if diseases won’t come near me?
What if I choose to believe?
Pages and volumes could be filled with what-if questions on nearly every level and subject. My point for the What if question today is to hopefully cause that question to rise up in all of to the degree that we are willing to put down our self-righteousness and pride, and sincerely ask, “what if?”
Those words have the power to change everything, but only if we have the maturity and willingness to sincerely ask it.
What if?
